Renee's Friends Fund

. Horses and women have gone hand in hand for many generations.  It was a small leap of faith that Donna Baxter and Renee Coble made in the horse community of Colorado to come together to support a new breast cancer charity.  With the help of volunteers from Cottonwood Riding Club and the support of the Gandomcar family Renee's Friends Fund was created.

Renee's Friends Fund assists with normal living expenses as patients obtain the treatments and therapies necessary to fight breast cancer.  Treatment and medical costs make it difficult to work and meet the expenses of daily living.  Through Renee's Friends Fund, women in need will be assisted with non-medical expense items such as transportation, household costs, food and breast cancer supportive therapies and related supplies.

In 2004 we realized the dream of Renee's good friend Donna by starting Dressage for the Cure.  This was the first time that the Colorado horse community was brought together to raise money for one cause.  Dressage for the Cure is today a premiere Colorado event and while it started out as a horse show it has grown into much more.  2006 is the inaugural year for Polo for the Cure it will prove to be a world class event with polo teams from around the nation.  2006 will also bring other big changes to Renee's Friends Fund.  We are teaming up with riders from around the state to continue our fund raising efforts year round.

Renee's Friends Fund money is housed at the prestigious Denver Foundation where we have access to services that allow us to help as many patients as possible.  If you are in need of assistance please contact your breast care counselor for more information.  If your breast care center does not have funds please have them contact us directly.

Renee's Friends Fund is a 100% volunteer organization and we rely on your continued support every year.
